Natalia Murillo, Timestamps
Ceramics, metal
6.25 x 12"
2025-2026

This piece was created for The Piccolo Gallery’s commission call, themed 'Hidden', an open prompt inviting artists to interpret the idea in their own way.

Natalia created a light pink ceramic vase shaped with a gentle spiral that wraps around its form. Along the outside, small round ceramic charms hang from metal fastenings, each one carrying a unique imprint. These impressions were taken from textures Natalia encountered on her walk to her studio, capturing a meaningful journey and small details that are often hidden and go unnoticed.

For Art Buyers & Collectors

This piece is perfect for those who love handcrafted ceramics and value pieces grounded in personal journeys and memories. Its blend of texture, colour, and playful charm make it a striking addition to any design‑forward home.

Natalia's work will be available for purchase at our Community Online Auction in Oct 2026. Purchases help uplift an everyday artist and fuel The Piccolo Gallery's commission model.

Artist Statement

I made this piece as a love letter to my creative journey.

If you follow the spiral on the vase, you can track the path I’ve taken every day for the past year to get to my studio. Through an array of charms, I intend to present a playful merge of pottery and print media, both crucial to my growth as an artist.

Using fresh clay to create a series of stamps, I wanted to capture the textures in the city, those that, at one point, I stopped noticing. These became part of my routine: the buttons I’d push, the corner where I’d take a turn, the floor at my favourite tea shop, all the way to the kiln that fired this piece.

This is a love letter.
to a journey only I will know
and to those who helped me get there.
